Working for you in Surrey-Newton.
Harry Bains has lived in Surrey for over 35 years. His two children were born and raised here, and both went to Surrey public schools. He’s seen Surrey grow into a thriving, diverse community and is proud to live here.
Elected four times as an MLA, Harry has stood up for Surrey. He has worked to help individuals and families, and with community and business groups to improve our community.
Harry has fought to improve our public transportation and to reduce the long wait times at Surrey Memorial Hospital. He stood with parents to demand funding to build more schools and pressured the BC Liberal government for a crime reduction strategy.
As the Minister of Labour, Harry has been working hard every day for British Columbia’s workers and employers, to create good-paying jobs that last.
Whether it’s making your life more affordable or making sure kids and families get the support they need, Harry’s priority is always you.
